Imladris Farm is a 7th generation family farm in Fairview, North Carolina. Owned and managed by Walter and Wendy Harrill, the farm is on the site of Walter's great-grandparents’ subsistence farm. The family’s ownership dates all the way back to a land grant from the late 1700's when Walter’s ancestors immigrated from Ireland.
Imladris is fully committed to sustainability and its importance, both for the customer and the farmer. They actively seek out products that can be successfully grown without man-made additives. They produce all their own fertilizer on the farm, control pests through trapping, not spraying, and control weeds through good, old-fashioned hand weeding.

Following natural production processes, they don’t use herbicides, insecticides or chemical fertilizers on the farm. Their berries are handpicked, and their jams are produced using traditional methods to provide customers with an incredibly high quality, handmade product.

Imladris has developed a small network of four local family farms to supplement the production on their farm and to help supply some of the fruit for their preserves. They’re proud to help support these other local farm families, and their relationship with them means you can always be sure that the fruit in the jam comes directly from farms in Western North Carolina.
